How to protect good habits.

It can be difficult to form new, good habits. Just remember that these can take time to stick. Keep at it until it truly is a habit. And then be very careful to protect good habits. You must keep up the habit because if you slip up and fail to recover for a few days or weeks, your good habit may be one from the past.

Write down your habit. Putting things in writing increases compliance or the stick to it which many of us need. You will glean great satisfaction and motivation when you can say ‘I have been walking every day for years now…I can’t even remember when I wasn’t active’.

Join forces with someone to hold you accountable to you habit as well. It is a lot harder to make excuses to someone else than it is to yourself!
