Are you ready for flu season?


Having the flu can kill your appetite at a time when your body needs proper nutrition the most. Our bodies need fuel to support our immune system. Even when you don’t want to eat, it’s important to keep up your strength and do your best to stay hydrated and nourished.


When nothing ‘sounds good’ which is often the case when you have the flu, you might try bland foods like bananas, cream of wheat, crackers/toast or cooked vegetables. Ginger is also recommended for nausea. Broth based soups & hot teas will provide warm and soothing nutrition and help keep you hydrated. Stick with what you can tolerate.
