The size of your holiday plate may be dictating your portion size.

Many people find that they eat more just because they are using a regular dinner plate. Try using a salad plate or a true kid-sized plate for your Thanksgiving dinner.

If you grew up as part of the “clean plate club”, leaving food on your plate seems wasteful. With a smaller plate, you will find that you are just as satisfied as you were eating off a bigger plate, but without the guilt. Plus, it will be an easier way to stay mindful of portion sizes when you take some of your holiday favorites this year.

Tomorrow you will feel more thankful for sticking to your healthy habits!
