Change What I've Been Doing

By Pamela Shenk, CHt

Happy New Year!  Can you believe it?

The beginning of any new year is a good time to work on priorities and outline specific goals. If something isn’t going right in your life…maybe it’s time for a change.

What a fantastic time to reflect on where you’ve been, where you are, and where you would like to be. This is an ideal time to start that gratitude journal. It doesn’t necessarily have to be written, it could be something you say before getting out of bed each and every day. The important thing is that you become aware of everything and everyone you are grateful for. By doing this daily, you’ll be amazed at how your life will change for the better.

Also, this is a great time of the year to evaluate your exercise program and the foods you are or aren’t eating. You know what you need to do and now is the time to drop all those excuses.

It’s also is a good time to think about what really makes you happy. Topics to consider include getting eight to ten hours of sleep a night, improving memory, preserving eyesight, and going for regular doctor visits.

Start the New Year with a positive outlook. What are your goals and priorities? The only thing holding you back are the limitations you place on yourself.
