A New Breakfast Twist

Here is a spin on a classic breakfast to give your morning a bright start. Fresh blueberries grow from April through September, but frozen berries are a good alternative other times of year…like January!
Blueberries are naturally sweet. They are also an excellent flavor enhancement. They are low in calories; while being rich in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K. Blueberries are also a rich source of anthocyanin; the antioxidant which gives them their color as well as contains powerful inflammation-fighting and cell-protecting properties. Starting your morning with blueberries can give you a healthful edge.
|1 cup||quick oats|
|1 cup||blueberries, frozen|
|4 ounces||light cream cheese|
|to taste||artificial sweetener|
Method of Preparation
1. Mix oats, water, sweetener, cinnamon, and vanilla in medium saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let thicken.
3. Add cream cheese and stir until mixed evenly.
4. Stir in blueberries, and serve.
