This One Idea Can Make Your Year the Best Yet

We have officially started the New Year. Do you have a destination you want to reach this year? It can involve your weight, your health, your family, your profession, your friendships. Decide what you want to work on and then develop a plan of how you will get there. So often people randomly say, this year I am going to lose weight or this year I am going to spend more quality time with the people that mean something to me. Yet, without a true plan, another year slips by quickly and it doesn’t happen.
Here is a visual. If you know you want to go to a place that you have never travelled to before, be it a restaurant, park or store, you most likely put the address into your navigation to get the step by step directions. Without directions, you would get into your car and say ‘I’m going to Café Bla Bla Bla’ and not even be able to back out of the driveway because you don’t know if you are heading right or left at the street or even the next traffic light. Now, let’s focus on what you want to attain this year. Put it into your imaginary navigation system and write some clear directions of the path you are going to take. If you get lost in a few weeks, look back at your directions so you don’t waste time driving in circles. You can achieve whatever you set your mind too as long as you set a plan. This one idea can take you to a higher place in your friendships, with your personal/professional life and with your health. Happy New Year!
